Rising fuel costs have prompted a campaign in West Norfolk.
The Lynn News reports that the Citizens' Advice Bureau (CAB) in the area is working with the council and Freebridge Community Housing to put pressure on the government to lower prices.
It follows the newspaper's investigation into fuel poverty in the region earlier this year, which found that nearly 7.5 per cent households are spending more than ten per cent of income on fuel bills.
Launching a survey to find how much people spend on fuel, CAB strategic manager Sam Nurse said the groups are "looking to campaign against increasing fuel prices".
And Christopher Fraser, MP for south-west Norfolk, backed the move, stating: "I fear the problems faced by those using heating oil are often overlooked by the government."
This week the US Energy Information Administration predicted that home heating oil bills would rise by 20 per cent this winter.
