Oil prices steady

In news which is likely to affect home heating oil users, oil prices are hovering just below the $109 (£55.38) mark.
As reported by Bloomberg, oil values increased slightly from yesterday's figures.
Finishing at $108.60 a barrel, oil prices increased by ten cents compared to the previous days trading.
Oil prices are still 77 per cent higher than they were a year ago, according to the news source.
Mark Pervan, senior commodity strategist at Australia & New Zealand Banking Group, told Bloomberg that demand for oil in the US is predicted to dip in the coming months.
"The market is expecting another rise in crude supplies and the factor driving that is weaker gasoline demand this summer, hence less demand for oil," he remarked.
Police in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, have warned home heating oil users to remain vigilant against theft, the Lisburn Times reported.
According to the local police force, theft of home heating oil has increased in the area recently.
