Heating oil customers have been advised they can reduce their energy bills by installing double glazing in their homes.
An article on Easier.com has emphasised the benefits of having the energy-saving fixture, saying it could lower fuel consumption while keeping the property warm during cold snaps, like the one seen last month.
It also recommended magnetic secondary glazing, which can be installed quickly and is cheaper than double glazing.
June Dumelow from Leicestershire told the news provider that the measure provided "immediate benefits".
John from secondary glazing firm Ecoease also noted that it leads "directly to reductions in fuel bills", adding that it is suitable for listed properties which are not normally allowed to have double glazing installed.
Kate Saines also praised energy-efficient measures for lowering energy bills in an article on Myfinances.co.uk.
She suggested installing cavity wall insulation, saying it could save homeowners £110 a year on heating bills.
